Our people manage this airspace by providing air traffic control, surveillance, communication, flight inspection, mapping and airspace design services. We work with government, regulatory authorities, airlines, airports and the general aviation community to ensure pilots, passengers and goods reach their destination - safely. 

About the role   

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Standards and Performance to join our Air Traffic Services (ATS) team. This is a new role which requires you to provide leadership and direction to the Air Traffic Services (ATS) enabling functions of Policy, Standards, Operational Performance, Workforce Planning and Operational Training teams. Reporting to the General Manager Air Traffic Services, this role is responsible for providing a co-ordinated value-added analysis, advice and information to ATS Leadership in order to ensure standards and customer expectations are continually met or exceeded and to promote consistent drive for service improvement across units.

You know what the operational and strategic leaders are doing right now and what they want to achieve in future. You cover their backs (and they are grateful!) by leading a team that ensures that our Air Traffic Services have an achievable workforce plan, that our Air Traffic staff are kept current with training and development and that our Air Traffic Services stand up to the requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority, ICAO and our own policies.

About you 

Ideally you will have extensive Leadership, Standards and Performance, and Operational Performance experience as well as knowledge of Aviation and Air Traffic Services. 

As an outstanding and natural communicator, you will have the maturity and confidence to interact with people from all walks of life and your stakeholder relationship skills will be second to none. This role at times can be complex, so we need someone with a collaborative and inclusive work style who can navigate our operational and governance landscapes.
