About the Team:
The Finance Team is responsible for the overall financial management and support processes within Airways, including transaction accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger support to business units, financial IT systems, procurement, property management, capital planning, statutory reporting and management reporting.

About the Role:
We have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Auckland (airport) based team on a permanent full-time basis.

You’ll be accountable for the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, and maintaining the integrity of vendor master data.

You’ll provide monthly reports on sensitive expenditure and provide oversight of AP controls to support the accuracy and reliability of Airways’ financial records.

As the team leader, you’ll direct, empower, motivate, and develop your direct report to achieve personal, business unit and organisational goals. Additionally, you’ll work towards continuous improvement whilst adhering to our controls and compliance.

About You:
Due to the nature of the role and our operations, you'll be proactive with excellent time management, prioritisation and problem-solving abilities.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Sound accounting knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or other large ERP systems as well as Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Experience applying and adhering to policies and procedures
  • Experience dealing with foreign currency and international suppliers
  • Communication skills and confidence needed to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality and delivering to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic business environment, collaborate with people internally and externally, show resilience and agility, take ownership and focus on delivering successful business outcomes.
