About the Team:
The Air Traffic Services (ATS) team is responsible for maintaining safe skies over New Zealand now and in the future. The team comprises highly trained air traffic control and flight service officers who are supporting pilots on a day to day basis from 17 towers and two surveillance centres.
Working alongside our operational staff is a team of specialists responsible for maintaining and improving operational standards, safety and qualifications. In an evolving aviation environment, we have a dedicated future services team focused on ensuring we achieve our vision of creating the aviation environment of the future.
The ATS administration team is a small close-knit and dedicated team responsible for providing day-to-day operational administrative support to the geographically disbursed Air Traffic Services (ATS) teams.
About the Role:
We're seeking a full-time permanent Operational Administrator to join to our Christchurch based team. This is a busy, hands-on role which will see you working closely with a variety of air traffic services teams across the country to deliver high-quality operational administrative and coordination services that help keep our operations running smoothly.
This is a multifaceted role that will change its focus based on evolving business priorities, so you’ll need to be solutions focused and be prepared to roll up your sleeves and pitch in where needed.
Reporting to the Senior ATS Administrator, key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Travel bookings, system support, new employee/onboarding support and replenishing stock (stationery and/or café)
- Providing first layer training and support for ARCHR, including updating medical and CAA license information, printing of rosters and assisting with recalls as directed
- Ensure flipchart documentation/maps are checked, distributed and updated within relevant timelines
- Provide administrative meeting support when requested, including arrangements of key meetings and minute taking
- Provides administrative training support including file maintenance and famil requests
- Provides a professional, flexible, organised, proactive and positive approach to juggling multiple tasks, competing priorities and the internal customers to which they are assigned
- Acts as a subject matter expert and provides technology support for the business team in key office tools, core administrative processes and policies
- Provides assistance and support to ATS assurance activities, included but not limited to Risk Administration activities, ATS AQD review and maintenance
- Other activities and events as directed by manager.

About You:
For success you’ll be proactive, an effective communicator and able to work in confidence.
Additionally, you’ll hold:
- Proven experience in administration, travel management, reporting and prioritising both time and varied work tasks
- Advanced IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Highly beneficial:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
- Experience with Teams, Dynamics and SharePoint
- Experience gained within the aviation, engineering or other technology-based industries.
