About the Team:
The Technology Group is responsible
for the effective delivery, management and services of all technology
disciplines within the air navigation services environment – engineering
design, software design and development, technology architecture and
infrastructure, asset management, installation and maintenance, technical
training, workload planning, maintenance program development, project
management, and logistics support.
Reporting into the Technical
Training Manager, the team consist of Technical Instructors and Draughting
Specialists.
About the Role:
We have a permanent
full-time opportunity for a Draughtsperson (Electrical) to join our Christchurch
campus.
In this role you’ll be
responsible for producing schematics for circuit, switchboards and power
distribution as well as building wiring, standby generator and uninterruptible
power supply diagrams - developing multiple detailed drawings from a single
source.
You’ll also support
other draughts people in more general draughting services.
Additional, key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Delivering solutions that comply with the provisions of all legislation and governance requirements, including the provisions of CAA Regulations and AS/NZS3000
- Ensuring appropriate technical standards are set and maintained for draughting systems
- Meeting service levels for draughting outcomes
- Participating in bi-annual Draughting Cluster groups and the reviewing of Draughting Technology Plans
- Supporting the modernisation of the Draughting Strategy Roadmap
- Contributing to appropriate specifications, standards, policies, practices and procedures that drive best practice in the draughting discipline
- Taking
a hands-on approach towards maintaining familiarity with draughting systems technology
and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

About You:
For success, you’ll be
a subject matter expert in draughting services relating to the area of
electrical systems design, particularly with main switchboards and power
distribution, standby generators and uninterruptible power supplies.
Additionally, you must have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience in electrical draughting services in New Zealand or internationally
- Experience in New Zealand standards and recommendations in draughting systems
- Ability to implement a Systems Design Approach to draughting
- Proven experience with and highly skilled in AutoCAD
- Strong capability using MS Office products including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and related
- Proactiveness with sound planning, time management and prioritisation skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills needed to professionally engage with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to adapt and
collaborate a dynamic environment, demonstrating resilience, ownership, and a focus
on delivering successful outcomes.

industries.
