About the Team:
The Technology business unit is responsible for the effective delivery, management and services of all technology disciplines within the air navigation services environment – engineering design, software design and development, technology architecture and infrastructure, asset management, installation and maintenance, technical training, workload planning, maintenance program development, project management, and logistics support.

This includes designing, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure that enables Airways to deliver its Air Traffic Management (ATM) services nationally and within our Pacific FIR. Our technical assets are spread widely across the country and form a resilient mission critical infrastructure of national significance, with systems often located in remote areas.

About the Role:
Newly created national role as Enterprise Applications Manager which can be based at our Auckland airport office or Christchurch campus in Burnside. Reporting to our Manager IT and Service Management, this role has three peers and four direct reports.  

As Enterprise Applications Manager, you’ll ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our Airways enterprise applications (ServiceNow, D365 F&O, and MS365), driving innovation, and aligning technology solutions with Airways strategic business objectives.

This role leads the team of senior and junior enterprise application analysts to maximise the value provided to Airways through the investments made in Airways enterprise application platforms, providing governance over all enterprise platforms.

About You:
For success you’ll hold proven leadership experience, having led a high-performing technical team where you provided both technical and people (operational) leadership.

Furthermore, you will hold:

  • At least 7+ years’ experience in software platform engineering, solution architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven people leadership experience in a complex organisation.
  • A deep understanding of ServiceNow and/or Dynamics 365 F&O, including integrations, customisation, and workflow automation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading application consolidation initiatives, managing platform strategy and roadmap development within a complex organisation.
  • An understanding of security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • The ability to build capability, plan (and execute) projects, make data-driven decisions and lead change.
  • Confidence needed to interact with both internal and external customers.
  • Motivation to learn and seek out the information needed to ensure you, and your team deliver at the highest quality and standard.

Beneficial:

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum and related).
  • ITIL Foundation certifications.
