The People & Partnerships Team strive to create a performance focused, engaged culture that puts safety and wellbeing first while championing our values, vision, and strategy. They play a critical role in supporting the business to achieve its purpose, vision, and strategic objectives, while providing a high-quality internal service that is impactful, proactive, and innovative.

The People Team lead programmes and initiatives across organisational development, strategic workforce planning, performance management, employment relations, talent acquisition and management, remuneration and benefits, learning and development, customer & stakeholder management and sustainability.

About the Role:
We are expanding our team with a new opportunity for a permanent Human Resources Business Partner to join us at our Auckland based office on a part-time (minimum 30 hpw) or full-time basis. This role is based in The Quad (Leonard Isitt Drive, Auckland Airport) which is within walking distance from Countdown, Chemist Warehouse, Jetts Fitness, cafes, take-away shops, and restaurants.

Reporting to our Manager HR Business Partnering & Employment Relations, this will see you provide professional HR advice, guidance, and support to leaders across the business whilst fulfilling BAU and project work.

With no day the same, you will need to work at pace and engage with a team of HR specialists (e.g. OD, ER, Talent Acquisition, Remuneration) whilst building credibility and maintaining robust internal relationships.

About You:
You will be a natural communicator, able to have robust conversations (in layman’s terms), guiding people leaders to grow their confidence and capability.

In addition to the above, to be successful in the role you will have:

  • Ideally a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial & Organisational Psychology or equivalent experience in human resources in New Zealand or internationally.
  • Hands-on experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner/Consultant.
  • Exposure to a unionised environment and a solid understanding of NZ employment law.
  • Solid commercial acumen with a proactive nature and outcome focused.
  • Genuine interest working side by side with colleagues (within HR and across the business) on projects that help make the culture and workplace better - this includes taking a key role in change initiatives to build efficiency and performance.

Beneficial:
Previous experience in the aviation, transport, or technology industries.
