About the Team:
The Technology business unit is
responsible for the effective delivery, management and services of all
technology disciplines within the air navigation services environment – engineering
design, software design and development, technology architecture and
infrastructure, asset management, installation and maintenance, technical
training, workload planning, maintenance program development, project
management, and logistics support.
As part of the wider Technology
business unit, the Supply Unit provides supply and logistics support.
About the Role:
We have a newly
created permanent full-time role available for a Purchasing and Supply
Specialist to join our Christchurch based campus.
In this role you’ll
provide efficient purchasing services to across Airways including supply
functions of inventory, asset and repair management as well as warehousing, and
related administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ordering equipment and spares using the Maintenance Management System (MMS) and through Microsoft Dynamics 365, as appropriate.
- Monitoring and if necessary, expediting stock shipments, overdue purchase orders, foreign currencies, through appropriate reporting methods.
- Warehousing related tasks linked to inventory, assets and freight.
- Ensuring adequate stock is held to meet Airways national and international requirements.
- Ensuring all MMS activity is performed accurately and expeditiously whilst maintaining data integrity.
- Assisting and covering as needed for the Supply Specialist in the national warehouse.
- Reporting, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ad hoc tasks as needed to
maintain operational efficiency.

About You:
Due to the varied
nature this role requires someone who is proactive, able to effectively
prioritise and with the interpersonal skills needed to work with a variety of
stakeholders.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- At least three years’ relevant industry experience gained in a technical environment.
- Tertiary qualification related to supply chain, purchasing or procurement. As alternative, you’ll need to hold at least three years relevant industry experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience with an electronic purchasing and inventory system as well as the ability to pick up a new system (as our system is bespoke).
- Ability to work in a dynamic
team and business environment, collaborate with people, show resilience and
agility, take ownership and focus on delivering successful outcomes.
Beneficial:
- Completed an IATA Dangerous Goods Course.
- Current forklift licence.
- Prior
experience processing freight shipments nationally.
