About the Team:
Airways Training is a
registered Private Training Provider (PTE), and NZQA accredited training
academy that provides world class aviation training to ANSPs world-wide,
including New Zealand.
Our highly skilled and
experienced instructors, cutting-edge training and simulation technologies, and
are recognised internationally. Training services include ab initio training,
professional develop training to existing Air Traffic Controllers, Aviation
English training, and consultancy services.
About the Role:
Due to internal
progression, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Training Quality
Manager to join our Airways International Limited (AIL) team based at our
Christchurch campus.
Reporting to the Head
of Air Traffic Services (ATS) Training, you’ll form part of the ATS training
team, helping the training business to thrive. In this role you’ll support the
development, implementation and administration of academic and quality
assurance procedures across the training team and all campuses.
This will see you take
on responsibility for the ongoing development and improvement of academic
quality, document development and control, administration and record keeping
for quality assurance as well as academic processes and the organisation of
related events.
Additionally, this
will see you assist with compliance (policies, procedures, regulations, legislation,
regulatory requirements and Code of Practice) and audits, leading the report
writing for the team.

About You:
This varied role requires a keen eye for detail, transferrable prior
experience and a proactive approach.
Additionally, you’ll hold:
- Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience
- Understanding of New Zealand's quality assurance frameworks and regulatory environment in vocational tertiary education
- Ability to align quality initiatives with AIL’s strategic goals
- Meticulousness in checking processes and outputs for accuracy and completeness
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work constructively with various stakeholders, including staff, managers, and government agencies
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously towards meeting objectives and deadlines
- Focus on continuous development with forward-thing mindset and a self-starting approach
- Culturally sensitive, being considerate and confident when dealing with others
- The ability to work in a
dynamic team and business environment, collaborate with people, show resilience
and agility, take ownership, and focus on delivering successful outcomes.
